Haliya - The Bikolano Goddess of the Moon
Gods and Goddesses from the Philippines

Haliya is the Bikolano masked Goddess of the moon and protector of women where in pre-colonial times she had a cult of women devoted to her. For them, Haliya is their protector from Bakunawa, a giant sea serpent deity known to devour the sun or moon, that can take on a woman’s form when Haliya does not rise.
