February 4, 1899 - The Philippine uprising against U.S. imperialism begins. This is how the “democratic” U.S. responded to the people’s just demands.
And it’s why I try to educate people on this war and what the U.S. has done to us in the past during their colonial rule. Because it’s often not taught in schools, just oh the U.S. had the Philippines as a colony and the Philippine-American War was an insurrection. This war was the first Vietnam, it was what the U.S. did to us that eventually led them to doing what they did in Vietnam.
NO. It was not a fuckin insurrection in which the U.S. still continues to say it was in their fuckin history books. It was Filipin@’s, fighting against another fuckin foreign power after fighting against Spain for our freedom. It was Filipin@’s, after being betrayed and lied to by the so called “democratic” U.S., fighting for their freedom, again, after literally being bought and sold, and trying to get rid of the U.S. out of their land. It was fighting against the U.S. for our people, our islands, our freedom, and fighting them for their horrid display of “heroism”, by torturing and mercilessly killing our people. All in the name of “saving the uncivilized people”.
Anyone who says it was an insurrection in front of my face I will gladly punch them in the face.
